Rocket will also find a small mechanical lizard resting beside the case. While there are runes etched into each of the clockwork parts thanks to some ingenious New Magic, he'll quickly see that it's powered both by the sun and by winding its tail. The lizard is able to scuttle and move around most surfaces, but that's not its main function. A rolled up note tied to its leg will reveal that it's also capable of acting like a compass, always leading to true north.
Finally, unfurling the soft fabric will reveal that it's a scarf in a deep red yarn. It's soft to the touch and had clearly been stitched with the intent to keep the wearer warm. There's a short note accompanying it. ]
[the package is placed in rocket's loft, one morning, with the help of one little idiot climbing its way all the way up, doing a few trips to get everything up there. there's no need to make this a secret, but wanda thinks it's more exciting if it's unexpected. inside, an amount of homemade goods have been stacked atop each other: candles, soaps, and moisturizing lotions. all of them animal-friendly, of course.
something else lies wrapped, though, and once opened, it'll reveal itself to be a foldable, leather tool kit. rocket can fill it up with his most used tools and take it around with him. hopefully it's the kind of thing tinkerers like him would need and enjoy.
